The 30 hours of class run Monday through Wednesday in person. On Thursdays and Fridays class will be held viaGoogle Classroom. On Google Classroom days, classwork must be finished before the end of the day at 11:59pm to receive credit. All students MUST have a gmail account at time of registration in order to access any google classroom work. Students school email will not work.
The first part of our Driver Education process is a 30 hour class. We will focus on road rage, cell phone laws, road signs,impaired driving with drunk goggles, and antilock braking systems just to name a few. You have to be at least 14 1/2 to take the classroom portion and 15 years old to take the permit test.
If you miss a day, make-up days are a breeze! Make-up days are
provided through the form of Google Classroom. We will go over the make-up day process in class.
After passing the permit test, students will need to start the behind-the-wheel phase. Students are required to complete six hours of behind-the-wheel. The lesson is provided in three two-hour sessions with a licensed instructor from the Department of Public Safety. The student will be picked up and dropped off at their home or North Branch Area High School. Detailed information about behind-the-wheel will be provided at class.
